About Roofing Hilliard: Roofers Who Start With Your Roof's Past

We're a roofing company in Hilliard that spends a lot of its time on houses with some years behind them. We look for old patches, worn parts and soft spots before we price anything, so the estimate you get matches the roof you actually have.

Why We Read a Roof Before We Price It

Older roofs rarely have just one problem. Over the years they collect fixes. A second layer of shingles laid over the first. A pipe boot sealed with a thick bead of tar. Flashing bent back into place and smeared with roof cement. Each fix may have worked for a while. Together they can hide what is really going on over your home.

So we start slow. We walk the roof, look in the attic when we can, and check the decking around vents, valleys and chimneys, where rot likes to start. Anything worth mentioning goes on camera, and we sit down with you and go through the pictures one by one. After that you get our honest call: a fix that buys the roof real time, or a new roof because patching would just be money spent twice.

We are a licensed general contractor, and our roofing work is backed by a 5-year workmanship warranty. We are also a Pella Windows Certified Contractor. The work we do for you stays on the roof and the gutters: roof repair, roof replacement, metal roofing, roof inspections, storm damage repair and gutters.

How We Work on Your Home

Old repairs get opened up, not covered over

If a patch is hiding wet wood, we say so and show you. We won't shingle over a problem to keep the price down and leave it for the next roofer to find.

Worn parts brought up to date

Older roofs often have rusted drip edge, cracked pipe boots and too little attic venting. On a replacement we swap those out and tell you why each one matters in heat, humidity and wind. Your estimate lists them line by line.

Surprises talked through first

Sometimes the decking under old shingles is worse than it looked from the ground. When that happens we stop, show you the boards and tell you what replacing them adds before we keep going.

Help with claims and paying for the job

After a storm we offer free post-storm inspections. If you file a storm damage claim, we talk with your insurance adjuster ourselves and go over the damage together, so you aren't the one passing messages back and forth. Financing is available if a new roof doesn't fit this month's budget.

Where We Work

We're based in Hilliard and work on homes nearby on both sides of the state line, including Yulee, Fernandina Beach, Nassau Village-Ratliff, Kingsland, St. Marys and Folkston.

Long humid summers and hurricane season are hard on tired shingles and old flashing, so much of what we find is wind lift and slow leaks around past fixes. If your roof has been patched more than once, it's worth a close look before the next big blow.
